Christian Rodriguez es un Fotógrafo uruguayo centrado en temas de genero e identidad. Comenzó su formación visual en el Taller “Dellioti” de artes plásticas, estudiando diversas técnicas de dibujo y pintura (1993-1999). Entre los años 2004 y 2005 trabajó como camarógrafo en VTV (Uruguay). Desde el 2006 al 2008 integró el staff del diario El Observador (Uruguay). Ha colaborado con las agencias de noticias France Presse, AP, EFE y Reuters.
 Durante ese mismo periodo produjo campañas de moda y publicidad. En 2006 realizó la cobertura del conflicto Israel-Hezbollah en el sur del Líbano. En 2007 estudió diseño de moda en la escuela “Pablo Giménez” y finales del mismo año ingresa al stock Win-initiative (EEUU). En 2008 ganó la beca "Roberto Villagraz" y se trasladó a Madrid para realizar el master documental de EFTI, ganando el "Premio Futuro" de su generación (2009). En 2011 fue nominado para el Joop Swart Mastarclass del World Press Photo.
 Su trabajo se ha publicado en diferentes medios a nivel internacional como New York Times, ​The Guardian, The New Yorker, El Mundo, Yo Dona, Esquire, La Nación, El País, Pagina 12, ABC, El Observador, Lento, entre muchos otros. y ha sido expuesto en Uruguay, Brasil, México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Estados Unidos, España, Francia, Italia, Reino Unido y Camboya etc. En 2013 gana El Nuevo Talento FNAC de Fotografía. Organiza y dirige el Festival Internacional de Fotografía SAN JOSÉ FOTO (www.sanjosefoto.uy) en San José, Uruguay.

Realiza workshops y lecturas basados en sus proyectos personales.


Christian Rodriguez (1980) is an Uruguayan photographer. His work focuses on issues related to gender and identity. He began his visual education at "Taller Dellioti", studying different drawing and painting techniques (1993-1999). Between 2004 and 2005 he worked as cameraman at VTV (Uruguay). From 2006 to 2008 he joined the staff of the newspaper El Observador (Uruguay). He has collaborated with various news agencies such as France Presse, AP, EFE, and Reuters. During the same period he produced fashion and advertising campaigns. In 2006 he covered the conflict between Israel-Hezbollah in the southern Lebanon. In 2007 he studied fashion design at "Pablo Gimenez" school and later that year he joined the photography stock Win-initiative (USA). In 2008 he won the "Roberto Villagraz" scholarship and moved to Madrid to study at the documentary master of EFTI, winning the "Premio Futuro" of his generation (2009). In 2011 he was nominated for the Joop Swart Mastarclass of the World Press Photo. His work has been published in different international media such as The New York Times, ​The Guardian, The New Yorker, El Mundo, Yo Dona, Esquire, La Nación, El País, Página 12, ABC, El Observador, and Lento, among many others; and it has been exhibited in Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, United States, Spain, France, Italy, UK and Cambodia. In 2013 he won the Nuevo Talento FNAC. He organizes and directs the International Photography Festival SAN JOSE FOTO (www.sanjosefoto.uy) in San José, Uruguay.

He gives workshops and lectures based on his personal photographic projects.
